Below is a list of all upcoming classes, dinners and community events. Click the text to register and learn more. Our class and dinner fees support our work in the community.

We strive to make our cooking classes open to all community members. If the price is holding you back, fill out the scholarship request below for a 25%-100% scholarship to cover a class.

(New Date TBD) Sunday, April 5th, 4-7pm

Christine and Chris Karna, co-owners and operators of Bucket Bites in Astoria, are leading a cooking class on pasties! Pasties (pronounced "past-teez") are traditional hand pies, like empanadas. In this hands-on class, you'll learn how you can make these treats at home.

Scones and muffins - what else do we need to say?! Jess Luty, baker at The Blue Scorcher, is teaching this hands-on class. You'll bake scones and muffins with whole grains and some yummy local ingredients.

Wednesday, April 29th 5:30-7pm

Pat Milliman (of Pat's Pantry in Astoria) will lead this unique workshop all about coriander.

Learn about the origin and production of this spice, characteristics of freshly ground coriander, and how to best make use of it in the kitchen.
