Garden Work Days
Grow with us! Help us maintain the Food Web garden in 2020.

We have a small garden area in front of the Food Web office in Astoria, Oregon. We need help from volunteers to plan, plant, and maintain this garden for spring, summer, and fall crops. The garden helps the Food Web look beautiful and alive, produces herbs and veggies that we can use in cooking classes, and gets us all a bit more involved in growing our own food.
This year we're planning a vegetable and herb garden that will be productive in the summertime for our kid's cooking programs so that they can explore a garden, harvest their own produce, and cook with home-grown ingredients.

Ready to Dig In?
Email to let us know you're planning on coming.
Remember:
-
Dress for the weather! We may cancel a work day or cut it short in bad weather.
-
Dress for gardening. With any luck, we'll be getting pretty messy.
-
Kids are welcome with an adult guardian.
-
If you have your own garden gloves or small tools, please bring those!

Can't make it to any of the work days, but still want to get involved? We have some behind-the-scenes planning volunteer work on the Garden Team. Just email us to see how you can be involved. We will also need some trusty volunteers who can do light weeding/watering during the summer months between work days.
